Is really about eating during CNY! This year I am hosting for our multiply CNY lo hei gathering ...... I have been buying stuffs on and off way before 1 week of CNY just to prepare a nice meal for my sistas!

I woke up at around 7am to go market and my dear TT was so excited that she woke up together and insists to go market with me.  Maybe cos the stall owner will give her sweet tats why she always wanted to go haha ...... doing the last min freshness food in market before all my sistas arrival.  

I am afraid I didn't do a good job luckily everything went well and with the help of Goh I manage to do up everything and when my guests arrive they can start eating! 

Thanks to Sam whom volunteer to get Yusheng from Ichiban and thanks to EL for the extra yusheng so that the kids can do a loh hei too.   We all have fun and glad that is a fine weather with some breeze and I hope I have made them feel at home :) 

After they left Goh and I started to do some cleaning up and headed over to in law's place for dinner ..... still full from the steamboat so I only took some food and after that is loh hei again hahaha I simply love it!  BIL brought it from Sushi Teh quite nice too ... another option next time beside Ichiban!  After 15th gotta wait for one more year to eat yusheng again ... I am gonna have it as lots as I can LOL

Today we all will be having a gathering at Big Uncle's place ... Initially Ah Ghor say wanna come my place asked if I can provide venue.  I always welcome guest ..... but Big Auntie say my place too small for gathering ask all of us to go over her place instead.

Oh well since she already 开口 all of us going over ..... Ah Ghor planned this only on 2nd day of CNY and I manage to order the food like in 5th day .... and almost all the caterer were fully booked!  Thanks to Cousin Pauline for helping to find the caterer she asked me to try Bellygood  by TungLok and just nice they still have 1 slot left for delivery!

Lucky still in time to book it cos Seventh Day of CNY is always popular cos is called 人日 and is everybody's birthday! I ordered the $15 per pax meal which consists of 10 items + 1 drink, Ah Ghor asked me to take out the dessert cos small aunt will make the dessert so I change it to another dish.

my ordered and my review:

1. Potato and Mayo Salad - Yummy ..... generous mayonnise given!
2. Shrimp Dumpling (Har Gow) - nice too ... but after awhile it just stick on the dimsum paper
3. Vegeterian Spring Roll (Change dessert to this) (Kinda oily when it comes to the bottom quite nice)
4. Chicken Ngoh Hiong (Very dry not very recommended)
5. Curry Chicken with potato (quite oily... Neo garden still the best!) 
6. Goreng Ikan Dory with special sauce (Not too bad ..... quite nice and juicy)
7. Prawn with Oat Cereal (Not bad nice) 
8. Mixed veggie with assorted mushroom (normal) 
9. Garlic Mushroom (hmmmm I didn't really taste garlic taste) 
10. Mini Cream Puff (Quite decent) 
11. Apple Cordial (those mixed with water syrup normal but better than fruit punch!)

Do give a try for this caterer .... they are very new ... food not too bad ... ad they have good customer service!  Thumbs up!  

A great gathering ...... hope there will be more so that we can have the family bond there!

Just nice Goh on leave and he can pick up TT from Heguru so I need not return to Eunos to pick her up to go for our company CNY dinner.  After picking up TT, Goh came picking me and we headed over toWhampoa where our training centre is.

TT wasn't feeling good but still glad she is quite active ... so I bought her porridge before going up ...  ate a little and say that she wanna go up ... guess she looking forward for this event!

Dinner started only started after loh hei and some games ...... TT & I won some stuffs haha ..... and she was really happy ..... Inez came and play with her I guess that makes her more happy!

A great dinner ... haha and Goh actually won the first prize in lucky draw .... is a iphone speaker ..... hmmmm both of us not using iphone so is consider no use for us.  Had a great fun there and best is the National Squad plus the 4 Peace Corp member from Korea perform a very nice Demonstration for us ... and of cos ending with the famous Gangnam style dance plus a bit taekwondo style .... TT enjoyed so much!

Left the place and met up with Penny, Edwin, Coco and SL..... Penny and Edwin going back tomorrow so we have a short meet up to catch up again before the leave.

We met up at Lau Pat Sat satay club.... dun really like the food there anymore ... not that nice .... I think Blk 85 Fengshan or Kallang Airport will be better ....think is the least place I will think of!

                                   TT call them ah gong boss and ah ma boss whahahhaa

Happy Valentine's Day to all out there!  And my boss actually born on this romantic day .... so easy to remember and no one will forget about it!

So Jo and I went over to PP to get yusheng and birthday cake .... of cos yusheng we always buy from Ichiban cos sakae yusheng standard drop and as for cake we decided to go get an ice cream cake from swensen!

Our mini celebration started at around 4pm .... just nice about tea break time...... we do a lo hei first and after having yusheng ...... we clean up and bring out the cake!  Is a mango cake and glad that he like it!

We were all so full after the cake ...... Happy Birthday boss and a Happy Valentine's day to you and lady boss!

Went back home to settle some laundry and waited for the helper to come before we set off to celebrate Vday.  No presents for each other this year just a simple meal on a rainy day!

We went to 真粥道 for dinner is Goh's 1st time having porridge there.  Not much crowd maybe is a vday + rainy day so we were left the only customer after a 5mins wait for food.  In conjunction of CNY  真粥道  come with a 2 pax yusheng which cost only $10.  Something different cos they have everything put into the plate so there is no pouring ingredients in while saying some propesrity words..... sauce was quite good too!

Dearie love the food here especially their braised pork he say very tender an want to come back for more next time :)  Total cost of the meal is just $23 cheap and good V day celebration HO HO HO

MIL called up and told us that TT didn't go to school today cos she having slight fever .... so we headed to the shop to look for her.  

FIL's shop having lion dance today and the kids extremely happy .... Alfred came back in time so he is able to catch it.  I love to watch lion dance so is not to be miss haha .... 

After the lion dance .... we helped to closed the shop ...... and settle Ms Goh and we left and went back home to rest ..... tomorrow I have to go work unlike Goh he is on leave till next Monday :P

Tuesday - 12 Feb 2013

Reached Bedok at around 9+am ..... we heading to CCK for some prayers .... Alyssa didn't wanna join us for later our family outing she decided to stay with the helper at home. 

So we went CCk for prayers and back to I12 Katong for lunch and watch Ah Boy to Men 2 together .... first time watching movie with my in law ..... tat time in Genting we watched different show. 

Feel that part 1 is nicer than 2 .... for the part 2 more adult content this time...... overall still ok .... I am there to laff haha..... went back Bedok together cos wanna see this how is this small gal..... she was lying down and helper say she just woke up haha .... 

Left her with my in law cos tomorrow she have school and we left for dinner with my pal. 

Penny and Edwin came back for CNY so we arrange to have dinner together I suggested Thien Kee for dinner since everyone like it.  Jordan and Nicole came with their newest addition - Cyrus.  He is so cute once you call him he will smile back ... and how can I miss a chance to get some baby dust! 

After the meal they all came over to my place for chitchatting and MJ session ....... been sometimes since we get together cos this group also have some misunderstanding due to one person ..... so is good to meet up with them again hope we can do it often then!

Monday - 11 Feb 2013

Woke up quite late and quickly went over to my Parent's place for visiting ..... my  姑姑, 姑丈, cousins and nieces were all there already. Papa order KFC and went to buy mee goreng from coffeeshop for everyone... last time Mama will prepare steamboat for lunch plus some of her homecooked food like chap chye, sambal prawn.  Ever since she have stroke .... she didn't prepare anymore ..... sad leh I miss her cooking! 

Papa will always go to his boss's place for CNY open house ....so Mama will follow me to my 2nd cousin's house.  Cousin Charlie will always cook on 2nd day .... and every year will have different theme .... this year Peranakan theme..... is our theme!  My Grandma was a Peranakan and she cook nice Peranakan food.... cousin Charlie learnt from Grandma and got her skills!  I always enjoyed his cooking.... Goh was like a special guest to them cos cousin Charlie and SIL Mary will serve him while others will have to take themselves! 

Alyssa love the food too and after her meal she will go look for their cats ..... they have a total of 6 cats and 1 dog at home!  I have to look carefully then can spot the cats ..... they are good in hiding!  Mj is the game after the meal and I won about $60 after 2 rounds of game! heehee .... 

After sending Mama back we headed to Ah Ghor's house for steamboat dinner ... she will always prepare everything for us.  As usual after meal is gambling time and drinking session again Wayne and I finished a bottle of crabstick, seaweed and half of friend yam .... whahhahahha drinking will always be good to go with all these .... and the game ended around 2+am again ......
