YY came over to have lunch with us so she drove us over to her new place for a look first ... she bought a 3 room flats near Jalan Kayu. Lotsa carpentry works looks good but it look rather small for her guest room as compare to my old 3 room flat.
Majority of her furniture was from JB .... according to her is real cheap! Kitchen was really small so to her is ok cos she dun cook but she bought a big fridge and inside nothing but beer! After touring her place she brought us to a Thai restaurant at Greenwich for lunch.
The place was like 3/4 filled with customers when we stepped in at around 130pm ..... YY said that the food here was good .... so each of us order a dish to try. We ordered as follow and my review:
- Red Chilli Sea Bass ($32) - Not bad is deep fried with the thai sauce
- Morning Glory (Pak bung aka kang kong) ($12) - not too spicy ... will be good if it is more spicy
- 2 tom yum soup ($17) - portion seems more like for a pax then for 2 nice!
- Grilled Chicken ($15.50) - very tender
- Green Curry ($15.50) - very normal nothing to rave about
- Basil Toufu ($13.50) - big portion of this not too bad
- 2 pineapple rice ($29) - this is good
- Fish cake ($12) - this is good too
- 3 coconut ($16.50)
- lemongrass tea ($4.50)
- mango sticky rice ($8.50) - this was good love it!
Nice ambiance ..... good food ..... will come back for more and is my first time in Greenwich .... shall come back to explore more! Thanks YY for the lunch treat!
Is Alyssa day once again .... my dear TT can't wait to show me her tricycle that Uncle Benny bought for her when she turned 1. It was kept at my mil's shop and now she is on cycling fever MIL told me that she was allow to cycle till certain shop and need to U turn back ...... she was quite happy with it and just nice next door there is one young boy cycle together with her and she was so happy that she have found a new playmate!
