The Sheng wasn't in town during the 1st week of CNY so we just met up together with Daniel, Jessica, Alvin, Jasmine and Garen for dinner. I suggested Chun Kee at Tanjong Katong cos it will never go wrong as there will be Yusheng available. But cos SZ need to take care of baby Zac so we choose to go Seng Kee Black Herbal Chicken Soup for dinner.
It suddenly pouring heavily and I am the first to reach so I just asked if there is a big table so I was being shown to the 2nd level where aircon and large table were ..... usually sitting along the road side is good but cos of the rain we have to be on 2nd level.
Bad thing about at level 2 is they dun have any menu!!! We have to go down to do the ordering ...... so SZ and Garen went down to order 7dishes plus 1 platter and 1 fruit salad for all. Service was not really good too. Garen wanted to try their mee sua so told one PRC waiter 1 bowl mee sua and 7 bowl of rice ...... he didn't came back with rice and almost all dishes were on the table already. Suddenly he came up to us after about 10mins .... asking again so is 7 mee sua and 1 bowl of rice correct? When we tell him no is 1 mee sua and 7 bowl of rice .... his reply to us is " WOW LAO EH" with an annoying face shown to us! *sigh* LOUSY!
Food was so so only ..... and total cost is $168.00 but is consider cheap cos total cost is about $18.70 per pax. After the meal we went over to The Sheng's in law place for a CNY gambling session hahah ....
