Monday - 9 Sept 2013 Part 2

Feeling blessed to have such nice sister!  Angeline made mooncake for us and I love the Doraemon mold mooncake so cute and best is bite size!!!  Thanks sis!

Pauline and Sam reached around 7pm at Coca Steamboat, wanted to try this long ago but no chance just nice now get to eat this.  We go for their buffet dinner at $40++ per pax and also a plate of roast pork ala carte at $19++.  According to all pork lover they commented is crispy with cracking sound and is juicy too!

Total 3 pots  of soup - 2 tom yum and 1 chicken soup for Goh and kids.  Tom yum soup not very spicy and chicken soup tasted good!  With lotsa of over ordered items we were all very full and stuffed again haha ... personally I dun really like Coca.  Chilli kinda blend as compare to Mini Steamboat Delight soup also so so only nothing to rave about.  Service quite ok just that they are not really friendly no smile from them as well.

After dinner we walked over to Just Like It for dessert.  This place made ice cream on the spot after we made our purchase!  After I tried some from my sistas .... I headed to order New Popcorn flavour is crunchy so if you like it this is a must order.  My twin sista had Rum Mint ice cream and she commented is smooth and not too strong of alcohol she like it!

Sam's flacky chocolate is nice too and she also order test tube coffee ... I love the presentation, just like doing some chemistry in the lab!  A test tube clip is provided to whole the test tube so that it can be pour into the cup and one of the tube contain milk and one serving of sugar cube is provided too.  Sam commented that the coffee is nice very flavourful ended the night with them.... and we head back to room to rest.

And just before we sleep we did some selfie while Daddy playing his games!

Monday - 9 Sept 2014 - Part 1

If you follow my blog you remember I attended the time share thingy and I get to have a special rate of staying in Hard Rock Hotel Singapore at a discounted rate at $260nett well is kinda good cos is more than their internet discount rate!

And since is school holiday I have checked with Eeling and Peiying whether if they wanna join us for a swim.  we headed to the beach first and the kids started to play and building sand castle!  天不做美 it started to drizzle lucky there is a tentage nearby and I reckon it is for weekend activity which is not being remove yet.  Nice to have that as there is chair for us to sit and look at the kids too!

After we left siloso beach we went for our lunch at Malaysia Food Street... food here standard drop not very nice so we just made do with it and after the quick meal we went to check in.  The girls cannot wait any more and change into swim suit and off they go to the pool!  As for the boys they went in as well with their shorts cos PY didn't bring their swim suit along but clothes to change good enough cos they have fun piling up the sands with the beach toys tools!

Time flies when you are having holiday or on leaves ..... PY and EL left after the swim and as for us we rest in our room while waiting for Pauline, Sam,  Angeline, Hong & kids to go for dinner.....

We love the spacious room with a day bed, a pull out bed and a kind size bed it will be good for  family of 4 or 5!  I love the bathroom it was designed like a backstage dressing room feeling like a star!

Simmons "cool Max" bed very comfy I love it so is Alyssa and she commented she wanna sleep on the king size bed not the pull out bed hahaha but good enough the bed is king size and 3 of us can sleep together without feeling squeezy!

Is Ariel and Jianwu's wedding today and we are being invited!  Pick up Joey and Ping and off we go to Copthorne Waterfront for their dinner.

Their wedding flavour they gave was retro metal tin container so nice I like it very much can use for making soft boil eggs haha!

Dinner started punctually and first up

  • Deluxe Seafood Combination Platters - All the food inside was good quite impressive.
  • Braised Shark's fins with assorted seafood - quite thick and generous of sharks fins inside
  • Smoked duck slices in plum sauce with deep fried chinese bun - very different... braised duck was soft and it goes well with sauce and the pipping hot bun!
  • Poached Live Prawn in Shiro Miso Soup - fresh prawn with yummy soup!
  • Braised duet mushroom and seasonal vegetable - quite normal nothing to be rave about
  • Steamed Snapper - also normal .... fish is fresh
  • Fried Rice with Shrimps & Shredded Chicken served with Italian Tomato Sauce - sound good but unfortunately the sauce sucks and we found HAIRS in the rice!!! GROSS RIGHT!
  • Yam Paste with gingko nuts in pumpkin syrup - ok but no appetite to eat anymore!
Overall we enjoy ourselves taking photos and chit chatting .... once again Happy Marriage to Jian Wu & Ariel!

Leong Tee Fruit Trader

Since is Durian season we decided to ask our boss to buy us Durian!  Leong Tee was located just below my office and we love to eat his durian.  Leong Tee have a pool of fans whom will drove down to buy durian from him cos he is a honest man with good durian always!  Beside durian he also sell mangosteen as well during the durian seasons.  A few times he sell mango, watermelon, coconut too....  his mango was good as well!

We had 4 durian in total each seed in the durian was small and the meat was fresh, thick and creamy!  Bitter sweet meat was the catch whereby many of us will like it he even offer us mineral water too good service!

He is very thoughtful to help us open and pack into container and even seal it up for us if we want to pack back!  Thumbs up for his service and good durian!  Check out Dr Leslie Tay review on his durian!

Lerk Thai at Bedok Point

Met up with a friend to have dinner lotsa food selection at Bedok Point and we decided to choose to dine in Lerk Thai cos is a rainy day so I am craving for spicy hot soup!

We are their first customer at 645pm and we are being shown to our table very fast and the waitress  (Auntie) she kept asking us to take their deep fried fish and we are also entitled to order Kang Kong at only $1.  But we feel that the fish might not be fresh cos is deep fried kind so we decided to give it a miss and carry on to look for other food.  About 3 mins later this Auntie walk back to our table and again asked us to order the fish!

After we are done with our orders with her she repeat the fish again!!! OMG give us a break!

Despite the irritating recommendation we looking forward for our meal to be served.  We each order a small bowl of Tom Yum seafood clear soup ($5),  pineapple rice ($10.90),  crispy minced chicken pancake ($9.90), baby french bean with sambal ($10.90) and coconut ($5).

We were served cracker with sweet & spicy chilli ($2) upon making out orders.  I was expecting hot soup but the tom yum soup served was warm only.   French bean was not much of any other taste except spicy, pineapple rice was good generous floss was sprinkle on the rice with crunchy cashew nuts!  Best was the crispy minced chicken pancake but is kinda pathetic small.  Coconut meat was very hard to dig out but coconut water was sweet!  Overall we spent $63.20 after all service charge and gst added.
