CNY day 3

No visitors today!  Just laze around at home, watch tvb serial, channel surfing, busy with Alyssa etc ...... time still passes fast and of cos I am counting down to the end of my confinement one more week to go and I will be free!!!!!

Cant wait for that day to come! la la la la So happy!  Ok things I have done before CNY when tong tong is sound asleep in the afternoon  cos I have to settle every thing before CNY cos most of the caterers and cake shop will be closed!  I have engage ISS as the caterer for Sunday's full mth and of cos sweetest moments for the cake to be distribute to friends and relatives whom so call do confinement for me.  It cost a bomb haha but is worth it cos is for my precious!

Ok back to Day 3 ..... haha heard from cousin that my name is being mentioned so many times during CNY hahaha cos they miss me the GAMBLER! hahaha .... ya i miss you all also ...... like I say next time if I wanna have number 2 must calculate properly not to crash with CNY anymore!  Baoling, SZ mei if you all making babies please calculate properly heehee

CNY Day 2 8 Feb 2008

                                                 My best pal & my precious

Lucky har .... still have ppl come over to visit us so we are not so bored!  Early in the morning around 8+ mama called and say my grandma is on the way to visit me with my uncle & family!  Woke up quickly to wash up and Alyssa woke up too for feeding and also to wash up. I bathe her and change her. Mama came over with some food that she cooked for us to have lunch but we decided to have it during dinner time.

Around 1+ my husband ex-students came over to see baby and oso catching up with us!  And around 2+ my best pal Coco, Bryan & Danson came over for a game of MJ with me!  Hahaha thanks pal for coming to accompany me .....

Had a game with them and Alyssa become cranky so off I go to take care of her and ask my hubby to play with them.  Think Alyssa know there is alot of visitors and she is so excited that she refuse to go to bed!

Mama & Papa came over and she brought me some vegetarian fried bee hoon ..... I am longing to eat fried beehoon lucky mama bring some over.  Mama hand also itchy hahaha she sit down and play with my friends, hubby go bathe and I take care of my precious.  Ok still not too bad for me at least i feel abit of new year's mood hahaha GAMBLING!

1st Day of CNY

When everyone is awake and went visiting 3 of us are at home sleeping till 9+ 10 usually we will be on our way out to my mil's house already!  Woke up and cook breakfast cum lunch for my hubby and myself.  Bath my tong tong and dress her up in new clothes too heehee her very 1st CNY!

Is kinda boring to stay home while everyone is out for visiting only can get to know hows everything from my in laws and my parents.  Tong Tong and I spent most of our time sleeping while my hubby is busy playing his PS2. 

In the evening we order fast food again this time is Mcdonald tried their prosperity meal .... hubby had the beef while I have the chicken.  Dun really like it cos I dun fancy black pepper at all ... hubby bite a bit of my chicken and he say beef one taste better cos chicken one is a bit tough.  Did not finish all ..... hubby is the one eating it heehee ....

My hubby's colleagues came for visiting ... hahah thought that no one will be coming to our house ...... well still have a bit of CNY mood after all!

Chinese New Year Eve - 06 Feb 2008

                                                    On the eve of CNY                                      CNY hamper  from my malay neighbour                                              Gift & early cny Ap for Alyssa Told my mil no need to rush over to bath baby and to boil red dates for me as today is CNY eve she will be busy cos my 2 nephews will be on half day in school and she need to do some praying, cleaning and preparing as well.

Lucky my husband is not working today so both of us bath and dress her up.  I Cook bee hoon yong tau fu soup for our breakfast and didn't had any lunch cos we are both quite full.  Although we are not celebrating CNY I still clean up the house as well .... today my pt maid is here to help to clean up while I clean up the kitchen.  Kinda tiring cos no resting for me today ..... my leg is very tired too.  

John and Jennifer (neighbour) came over yesterday to pass us Alyssa's present and also AP for CNY. While my immediate malay neighbour bring over a hamper today for us and YZ bring over present for Alyssa too.  Thanks to you all my dearest neighbours! SZ mei next year you will drive us to do CNY shopping with Alyssa heehee

This is the very 1st time I never had reunion dinner with all the family members.  But I have our very 1st reunion dinner on our own ..... heehee we have KFC for dinner today!  Although Alyssa cant eat but she is on our side while we are eating .... she is awake and didn't make any noise cos she knows we are having dinner

My in laws came over after the reunion dinner with all the relatives (is a every year practice that we have our reunion dinner together) drop by to see baby and to pass Alyssa Ang Bao.  Thanks to all my friends whom sent me sms for well wishes for CNY heehee ...... and when clock strike 12am ...... only my dearie and I congrats each other hahaha cos we feel that is just another day for us this year nothing special and excited about. Really look forward to next year CNY hahaha ....... cos by then my Baby will be 1 year old already so I can doll her up

No Chinese New Year for me :(

I look forward to Chinese New Year every year but this year I am in "jail" I can't celebrate CNY .  Every year I will be so excited buying new clothings, do up my hair, changing of new notes (before I am married I change for my mum to bao AP), shop for goodies etc.  This year I only manage to get some goodies before I POP and my hubby bought some almond cookies for me as well.  Bak Kwa is expensive now didn't wanna buy it cos we can eat that all year round but my mil bought me one packet thanks mum so sweet of her!

I looked forward to every CNY because is a day that most of us are busy and we do not meet up with relatives every time so this is the day that we can sit down and catch up with one another!  And of cos I missed my husband side's cousins too cos usually they will gamble during this time .... this year I cant join them so sad ..... only can play with my baby Alyssa and my dearie hahahah Alyssa very rich now so can play blackjack with her muhahahah

And also I will miss lion dance too I like watching it .... arghhhhh next time make babies must calculate properly ha ha ha ....... counting down now for the end of my confinement.......

Lately I am still busy with Baby Alyssa and also I am a bit on depression side cos of the confinement food I ate everyday is the same!  ARghhhhhh life is so miserable for me while doing confinement! How I wish it will pass soon ...... actually beside the food, another most depressing thing is my breast milk flow is very low ..... I cant really provide for my baby!  Kinda sad!

Is not easy to take care of baby all alone while on confinement thats why I regret for not hiring one CL.  I don't get to rest well at all and back is very painful I have a few sleepless night cos she is very cranky at night and always on time when she is hungry hahaha my dearie commented that she is so zhun! Like an alarm clock! 

And she like to be carried all the time..... i tried to be hard hearted don't wanna carry her but her cry is so LOUD that my neighbour WT & Lin from next blk can hear her when they are in their kitchen!  And lotsa ppl tell me not to let her cry so much in case have wind in her tummy .... so I have to be more XIN KU carry her ......

Thanks to Alice for buying her a rocking chair received the gifts yesterday night ...... hope that  this rocking chair will help me in future not to carry her so much!  Her timing is changing slowly hope that she can sleep throughout the nite in future!

Birth Cert done!

Baby Alyssa have her birth cert done!  We went to do the registration on 23 Jan 08 where she have her 1st check up with PD as well.  Everything is done there so good that they have a 1 stop service there - Birth registration and baby bonus too!

Baby's full name - Alyssa Goh Yu Tong 吴雨桐.  Name is chosen by us (Mummy & Daddy)  heehee we have a master to calculate her birth time, date, day and he came up with lotsa chinese name which consists of 8 and 10 stroke.  We have to match name with a 8 and 10 stroke, he have chosen for us a few but unfortunately we cant use any of them cos most of it is used by the family members like her grandfather, aunties etc. 

And on 26 Jan 08 Peter Pan Studio send the photo of Alyssa to us.  Someone came to my room on day 2 of my delivery to check whether am I interested in taking Baby Alyssa's photo.  Dearie & I both think we should do it cos baby changes everyday must capture that special moment hahaha ......

Each complete package comes with 1 Birth Certificate, 1 Display print, 2 Album print, 4 Announcement prints, 4 Thank You Prints & 4 wallet prints and includes free home delivery service for baby package.  And there is a Free vouchers worth $24 so that we could update our family portrait with them.  Whenever I take out the photos to look at baby she really changes very fast ..... look so different now.  Some even commented that my baby looks like my nephew hahaha

Really have to take baby's picture everyday so can keep track of her changes .....
