Went to pray Ah Ma today ..... is so called the 头七  almost all of us are there ..... except..... oh well dun wish to talk about it anyway.  Mum bought some food to pray too .... and after a mini ritual we are hanging around before we burn the joss paper.

I saw mum talking to Big Aunt and my cousin .... dunno what they talking about as I dun wanna interfere cos if my mum need me she will call .... guess is that she dun want me to get involve.

Saw mum came back with a mini purse and inside there is a few pieces of gold rings, necklace, bracelet etc.  She told us that belonged to Ah Ma and is split among the 4 families......and she added say that my Big Auntie mention that she wanna use that for charity!!!! 

We all are so pissed .... cos that's the only item left to us for memories of Ah Ma but she said that she wanna use it for charity!  If really wanna do charity come out with your own money and write Ah Ma's name down then we say that is CHARITY!  I hope that she didn't do the charity using Ah ma's jewellery.

Went over to Little Neuro Tree for another English Trial lesson ...... was late for the lesson ..... TT behave the same way as in her 1st class hahaha the way she get angry when Teacher took away the educational material makes my fellow motherhood mummies laugh.  But same she is so noisy!!!

Pick up my parents at Bugis after the class and we went Carrefour to buy groceries and headed back straight to take a nap.  Woke up only at around 8pm and we ordered pizza for dinner ...... is just another boring & tired Saturday.

Friday - 27 Feb 09

Woke up only at 11am + wow is really long sleep ..... kinda hungry so I ordered McDonald breakfast and headed to do some housework cos past few days I didn't do much. 

During evening time after my PT maid came we went out to pick up TT and have dinner with my parents.  We had 老福建 dinner at the coffee shop quite nice food ... forgot to take the picture cos I have forgotten my phone which is left in the car.

Price is reasonable too ... we ordered total of 5 dishes and it cost us only $40 .... cheap cheap.  Brother exchange his car with us cos something is worn with his window dun really like my brother's car cos is too low.  TT so cute when she in my bro's car she say 怕怕 cos my bro's engine have those VROOM VROOM sound hahah she is really cute.

Tuesday

Send TT to my MIL's shop cos we are going to stay up tonight as my Brother and Father have been up to look after the wake for 2 days already.  Dearie and I volunteer to look after it and shall let them rest.  Tonight there is a prayers from GUI YI ..... didn't join in the prayers as we need to oversee the whole place.  My MIL bring TT over together with my husband side relatives.  Thanks to my in laws (inclusive of all relatives).  Night is really long ...... lucky we have some joss paper to fold if not will be very tiring.  Dad & mum refuse to go home and stay with us ..... Mum KO halfway .... we asked her to sleep in the car as it will be more comfortable.  We left the wake at 7.30am when small uncle & family came down to take over us.

Wednesday & Thursday

Reached home at around 8am after sending my parents home ..... headed straight to bed totally KO.  But I have set alarm to wake up at 12pm ...... and received a sms from my Cousin Nicole that one of the Instructor from my workplace came over to pay his respect.  Thanks to you Mr Lee!  Took a cab down and bought some finger food for my relatives.  As for Dearie I let him sleep more cos he need to drive ..... and he will be picking up my mum later. 

Today is the last day of the wake ...... there is ritual going on and burning of the house all these will be tonight.  Lucky I have my cousin, niece (my father side) to help out during the evening cos all of us have to fall in and no one tend the wake.  During the ritual .... we are all so sad but all of us control not to cry .... one cry = chain crying ...... so I try to hide abit when my tear is rolling down especially when we are doing rounds around the coffins.

My in laws brought TT here tonight too ...... and she is the center of attraction everyone seems like to play with her.  And my greedy piglet kept making everyone laff with her action .... she always say GOOD with her showing her index finger *LOL*  She is a good baby too ... when my MIL going back she follow and didn't make any noise want to stay with me usually she will think she know that we are busy .....

My relatives (my father side) stay thru out the night cos they are gonna send my Grandma the last walk.  So I entertain 2 aunties whom wanna stay up by playing Mj with them .... thanks to them who are there (mostly oldies) for us ..... really appreciate that ..... really WU SIM .... but some BO SIM close kin didn't even turn up to send ah ma off....

Is really 舍不得 to see Grandma off ...... I can't hold on anymore and burst out crying ......I think my small uncle & family will be much more 舍不得cos small uncle have been taking care of Grandma for so many years he is really filial.

Everything wrapped up today including collecting of ashes and place it in a temple at Tanah Merah.  Grandma's ashes is place just above my Ah Yi ..... good that next time they can be together to have meals, hanged out together in another world.

Reached home at 4+pm and without waiting for my hair to dry I was already in la la land ... according to my dearie he kick me twice without me responding ..... meaning I am as good as dead.......28hrs never sleep .... really tired.   Thanks to my in laws in helping to take care of TT for us these few days so we can help settle the wake stuffs. 

And I would like to thank my cousin - Peiwen in helping so much to take care of Grandma ...... she is just 19 years old and she is so 乖 to help in cleaning, bathing, changing of diapers for ah ma.  At her age I think mostly don't care and mostly are out with friends .... but she is always there wherever Ah Ma is when she is still alive.

Monday - 23 Feb 2009

Woke up at around 9+am .... to go for breakfast .... food not bad ... at least I enjoyed it.  Rest awhile and change into our swimming suit to go for a swim.  TT was in her new float which I bought during a BP in motherhood forum is the 1st time we using it.

She enjoyed the swim there ...... and she almost fell asleep hahah guess she is too relax .... check out at 12pm and we went for another round of bowling as the bus which will take us to the jetty will only leave at 2.00pm.

Left Batam at 2.30pm(Indonesia time) ...... reached SG at 4.30pm .... rushed home after we are back in SG.

Reached Anchorvale at around 7pm ...... I got sun burnt and my cousin thought I make up to come my Ah Ma's wake *OMG* Later than they realise is sun burnt.

Look at Ah Ma lying in the coffin make me sad and almost wanna cry out but I controlled it cos once I start there will be more ppl start too ...... She died peacefully .... but the make up not that nice ....... dun really look like my Ah Ma.  Pay my respect and went to help out in some domestic work.  Really lotsa of old neighbours came to pay their last respect to my Ah Ma ..... great that they still keep in contact.  Gonna rest well cos is another few nights before the funeral gotta help whatever I can ......

Sunday - 22 Feb 09

Is a sad news when I received a call from my mum ...... that my Grandma wont be able to pull through today.  It really sunken my heart when I hear that but on the other end we have make arrangement to go Batam with HY & Mica.  Mum ask me to go ahead with the plan as we have friend coming over ... so ask me to stay with them.

If we are going by ourselves I will turn back ... and mum told me she had told Grandma that I am not around if she wanna leave just go ahead.  Tear rolling down after I heard what my mum said ..... one of my love is leaving this world and I won't get to see .... Mum should have told me in the middle of the night cos all of them are in the hospice! 

Mum even told me that she is very chatty during Saturday afternoon ..... everything looks good ..... when at around 9+pm my small uncle called and told her that Grandma in ICU.  And when she is there Grandma couldn't recognise anyone .... just lying down with her eyes staring at you.




When I am in Batam ... at around 11.00am my brother sms me saying that Grandma passed away peacefully .... I was praying that she could pull through but God have taken her away from us.

The news is still on my mind going through every minute.....every second ......was thinking how to enjoy myself ..... not to influence my travel mates ..... I try not to think of it as Grandma have already at the God side ... she will be well taken care of over at the other world.


Is TT 1st trip ..... and this trip it will always be on my mind cos is also the day I lost my love one. 

The package we took up is a Spa package ..... it consists of a free set meal or pizza, free breakfast, free bowling game and a spa package.  Since we are still waiting for our room we had the set meal first ..... food is quite ok not too bad.

Went up to the room and off we go for shopping ... resort have a bus to bring us over to their mall to shop.  We went to Nagoya Mall but there isn't much things there so we share a cab to Mega Mall (if I didn't remember wrongly the name).  Ate A&W there which is good I miss the waffle is not found anywhere in SG anymore.

Went back to our resort at around 5+pm rested for awhile and around 6+pm the Spa Assistant called and told us we could go for our massage.  Walked over to another building and the Spa is located at the 4th floor ....

1st time I am doing the Spa massage .... a bit sua ku LOL cos in SG I find quite ex and I dun have any good recommendation on any spa.  We got to choose 3 spa treat .... and we are directed to go to our little hut.  TT is with us cos the childcare centre is close so some other assistant help us to look after TT.

At first she is fine to play with them ...... but around 1/2hr later she is looking for me already......and she is near to me while I am massaging .... didn't get to rest even when being massage.  My dearie SONG loh cos TT dun wanna look for him so he is lying there happily and even get to sleep!!!

In between the 3hrs spa ... TT slept awhile so lucky I still get to enjoy some massage ahahaha ...... I feel so clean after the scrub LOL ..... for the service!

After the massage we went to play our free bowling game ..... HY and Mica still have the energy to play table tennis even after our bowling game.... for me my mind is still in SG ..... and I am tired too......

Headed back to room after the game ..... and all of us are hungry ................



Room service for our dinner ...... cos is around 11+pm when we are back to our room ..... ordered their club sandwich and spaghetti for dinner ... lucky TT K.O after her milk and before our food came.  Both of us can have our meal peacefully ..... K.O at around 1+am .....

Saturday - 21 Feb 09

Woke up at around 9+am .... and we went to Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant for dim sum ...ordered siew mai, har gao, chee cheong fun, porridge, bird's nest egg tart etc and total cost is RM183.90.  A heavy breakfast we have ..... went round again to do a last minute shopping and headed to Theme Park.




HY and Dearie went to play the "superman" ride which need to pay another RM10 no wonder there is no queue at all!  The rest of the ride is super long long queue especially go-kart, roller coaster even the little "flyers" also have Q.

Walked around the theme park and take some pics for memories..... I simply love the weather is so cooling ..... after taking the small "flyers" and notice that we are running out of time to take our coach back to SG. 


And we are the last 4 to board the bus *LOL* the rest all uncle and auntie waiting for us.... I am so thirsty wanted to buy a drink before boarding .... in the end buy nothing ...... have to endure till the next stop.

Took a short nap before reaching the next stop ..... and I spent another RM150+ on all the food again .... bought some food back for family and friends.  The rest of the trip is on sleeping mode ..... till Yong Ping we are given about 25mins for dinner break.



By the time I am really hungry ..... but there is not much variety over there so I just order the chicken noodle ..... not too bad the taste ....just that the noodle smell abit too strong the GEE smell ......

After we left Yong Ping ..... I didn't sleep anymore cos I am so excited cos I wanna see my Dottie TT ... really miss her during this few days ...... wanted to try bringing her along but think of the long journey in the bus I dun think she can take it .... *LOL*  Reached Tampines at around 8.30pm++ by the time we fetch TT is already 9pm+ .... headed back home to have my laundry done and to pack up for tomorrow's trip.

Friday - 20 Feb 09

Woke up at 5.15am!!! OMG .... we gonna be late ..... have a quick shower and off we go at 6.00am to Tampines to catch our coach.  Lucky HY & Mica help us buy breakfast so hungry ......and before we could reach the pick up point HY call and say the bus Ciao liao *SHOCKED* cos at 6.15am he still didn't see the bus so he thought the coach left without us!  After verifying and I see there is some other people waiting we are safe! *LOL*

The Coach only arrive at 6.45am .... Driver say due to some minor problem that's why he is late.  Seats is comfy ...... spacious ....the thing is you can't eat anything there ... so there goes our breakfast we will only get to eat it when we have a short break at Yong Ping.  So friends out there remember if you are taking Five Star coach dun bring in food they dun allow. .....



After the long journey we finally reached Genting ..... I simply love the weather so cool .... and nice!  Headed for the check in to our hotel - First World hotel after checking in off we go to 买东西, 吃东西. 

Went around thinking of what to eat .... we ended up at Pizza Hut and review about the food is Singapore Pizza Hut is better. :P Next the men say wanna taste the Bak Kut Teh which seems good ..... oh well is a disappointment too hahah ... the soup is so salty! Dun try it if you are there .....

We decided to catch a movie there and they have Osim Seats!!  Cool .... but we didn't get that cos they only left 3 seats.  Weird setting cos they only have 9 osim massage seats in the theatre.  We took their premium seats which cost only RM15 and include 1 drink, 1 pop corn and 1 fish cracker.  Went shopping before the show start ..... my leg is breaking hahahah really is 买东西, 吃东西 all the way .....



游龙戏鳯 (Look for a star) is the show that we watched and is in cantonese poor dearie have to read the subtitle.  After watching the show we headed to Lakeview seafood to have our dinner.  Ordered steam prawn, lemon chicken, veggie, horfun and another dish which I can't remember cost only RM140+ which is real cheap! 

Didn't eat much cos we are going to have supper too ..... and we are going to try their Mcdonald's nuggets haha ......



After the dinner, we walked around again ..... HY wanna buy jeans ...... shopping mode on again for us ....

Went to play bowling after some shopping and we stopped by the arcade to play some games too.  Mica is real good in playing this basketball game her score is way much better than HY and Dearie .... I didn't play that cos I am lousy LOL ..... we even went to play shooting game and I came in last LOL .... dunno how to aim .... counter strike to me is peanuts but this .... hahaha I dunno how to aim lousy *hide* LOL ....

Casino is the last we went ..... I love to play blackjacks, mahjong but going to casino is real new to me and lotsa games I didn't know how to play at all.  Can you imagine I am yawning inside LOL ..... I dunno how to play at all .... I change only RM100 to share with Dearie and lost everything *LOL* .....  is not my cup of tea cos I dunno what am I playing I just tag along with others.

The fun ended at around 1+am ..... and we headed back to our room to rest after having our supper and drink........
