Dearie went to work in the afternoon and swing by Hougang to pick up Retrolicious Concert Tickets from Garen's friend. Thanks to her then we get to have good lobang of having $100 a pair of tickets Usual price is $95 per tics.
TT & I make our way over to cityhall to meet Ivy and Dearie ..... Deraie came at around 6+pm I was waiting for them at Aerin's. Guess what this is only the 2nd time I see Ivy.... Ivy is Dearie's batch (schoolmates, my senior) so really thanks her accompanying me and thanks for the dinner you buy us. We shall meet up soon with your kids too!
When we reached there are so many people still at the entrance instruction not very clear so we are directed to join a Q ... so when we walk towards it there is a big lobang so we thought that is the end of the Q so we just join in ..... and guess what another bunch of ppl complaining behind or rather purposely saying out loud that we did not Q ... then why must they Q. Oh well is they themselves leave a big lobang so cannot blame us for joining in cos we thought thats the end of the Q.
Both of us just hack care them and happily went in ..... we are shocked to see the crowd .... there are so MANY ppl! Many brought mats with them and are sitting down .... after a 15 mins the DJ asked everyone to stand cos is a concert and not movie by the park LOL .....

Johnny Hates Jazz started the concert .....lately they have new member joining in and they have several new songs and they sang quite a number of it which we think is boring cos the concert title is RETROLICIOUS why are they singing their new songs! That get everyone so bored standing for nothing!
After 6 or 7 songs up next is the beautiful legendary DEBBIE GIBSON ... she is awesome ... she is in her 40 this year and she rocks! Her songs really make us so back into 80s.... she really bring the crowd back alive!
Rick Astley is the last to appear .... his song also bring back lotsa memories .....I simply love retro songs ....and most of the pub or disco do not have any retro songs anymore. I miss the good old days when I cheong with my buddies!
Thanks to Dearie whom waited for us at the entrance of fort canning from 11.10 to 12.00am.... Dearie say he enjoying the songs in his car so is TT. According to Dearie, TT fell asleep soon after Rick Astley came up on stage. When we get into the car TT told me dancing queen meaning she heard what Debbie Gibson sang earlier on during her encore performance! TT you are so cute!
